Privacy Policy

Last updated 16 August 2026 · GDPR (EU) 2016/679

Quark is a pre-launch project. This site does not offer a service, an account or a purchase. The only personal data it collects is what you type into the waitlist form, plus the technical data any website receives when your browser requests a page. This page explains both, in full.

01Who is responsible

The controller of the data described here is [CONTROLLER NAME], Sofia, Bulgaria. For anything relating to your data — questions, requests, or complaints — write to [CONTACT EMAIL].

Quark is currently operated by an individual, not by a registered company. If that changes, this page will name the company and its registration number before any data is transferred to it.

02What we collect, and why

Data Purpose Legal basis
Your email address, and the industry you optionally select To contact you once when Quark launches for your industry Your consent — Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR
IP address, browser and device information, requested URL, timestamp Delivering the page, security, and defending against abuse Legitimate interests in operating a secure website — Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR

We do not use advertising, tracking or analytics. We do not profile you, and no automated decision-making takes place. We will not sell or rent your data, and we will not use your address for anything other than the launch notice described above.

03Storage on your device

This site sets no cookies. It stores a single value in your browser's local storage, qk-theme, which remembers whether you chose the light or dark version of the page. It contains no identifier, is never sent to us, and exists only to honour a preference you expressed. Because it is strictly necessary to provide the display you asked for, no consent banner is required. Clearing your browsing data removes it.

04Who else processes your data

Recipient Role Location
Formspree, Inc. Receives and forwards the waitlist form (email and industry) United States
Cloudflare, Inc. Serves and protects the site; processes connection data including your IP address United States / global network
Google Ireland Ltd. Serves the web fonts used by this page; receives your IP address when your browser requests them Ireland / United States

Transfers of personal data to the United States rely on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. No other party receives your data. We do not disclose it to authorities unless legally compelled.

05How long we keep it

Waitlist entries are kept until Quark launches for your industry and we have contacted you, until you ask us to delete them, or until we abandon the project — whichever comes first. In any case we delete waitlist data no later than 24 months after you submitted it. Server and security logs held by our providers are retained for their standard periods, typically no more than 30 days.

06Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

To exercise any of these, write to [CONTACT EMAIL]. One message is enough — you do not need to give a reason, and we will answer within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle it, you may complain to the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection (cpdp.bg) or to the supervisory authority where you live.

07Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Waitlist submissions travel encrypted to our form provider and are accessible only to the controller named above. We collect no special categories of data, and we ask you not to send any in the form.

08Changes

If this policy changes materially — a new recipient, a new purpose, a company taking over as controller — we will update the date at the top and, where the change affects data you have already given us, tell you by email before it takes effect.
